Adam Frederick

Adam Frederick was born in Pfaffen-Beerfurth, Germany and came to Butler County with his family in 1849. He married Hannah Aldinger and they became the parents of three children: William, Ida and Dora, before his death in 1878.
He served as a private in the 7th Pennsylvania Cavalry during the Civil War. It is believed that this photo was taken shortly after the war.
