Plank Road School and Jefferson Grange, Mercer County, PA
On the back of the photo is written, "The only school mother ever went to." Probably in reference to the my great grandmother Edith M. Horne Cozad who lived from 1870 to 1945.
The Plank Road School, a one-room school house, located on road 258 about 2 miles northwest of Mercer in Jefferson Township, is still standing today. It has been converted to a house.
After the school closed, the build was used for the Jefferson Grange.
Submitted by David Cozadd, great grandson of Edith M. Horne Cozad

Hello, I used to work with a Libby Barnes in the 1970s in Youngstown OH. I wondered if you were related and if she is still living. She used to live in Sharon, PA but i know she moved. I would love to hear from someone.
