On the back of the photograph "The Apollo Band taken at ____ Springs July 1911"
I found this photo firmly glued to the inside front cover of a photo album I inherited from my grandmother's sister, Mary Stauffer Sullivan (1890-1940) of East McKeesport, PA
I would like to know something about the Band of Musicians and the setting. Where were they when the photo was taken? Was the band from Apollo, PA?
The gentleman standing at the end of the row, of seated musicians on the left, looks similar to pictures I have of my great-grandfather, John Herman Stauffer of East McKeesport, PA. But I have never heard any mention of musical talent associated with my Stauffer ancestors.
