Kelly Station, PA School Students 1947

The photo was taken in 1947 at a one room school house in Kelly Station, Pennsylvania.

In the second row, second from left is my mother Dorothy Giron, next to her, slightly behind her is a girl named Patty Jack.

5th from the left is a girl named Imogene Jack.

In the third row first on the right is George Giron, my uncle. In the fourth row, second from left is Walter Giron, also my uncle.

If anyone can tell me anymore names or the name of the teacher that would be great.


Kelly Station School

My mother , Sadie Brindger, taught with mae mansfield at the kelly
Station school. I have several pictures of later classes posed
0n the same steps I will pass those along. My grand father lived four doors up from the school so i stayed with him while my mother
taught( in the little room). My father, Andy,my uncle Paul and my
two aunts , Sue and Julia wnt to school there. My aunt Sue will
turn 100 in Nov of 2010. I was born in 1947 and was in the first grade when the bethel elementary school on Cook's Summit opened.
My mother taught third grade there for many years.

Andy great post and very nice for you too have shared this! It was nice everybody got together and visited regularly back then. Our families shared lots of good tmes together down there in kelley station and will always be remembered! My cousin Nancy Lettrich still leaves across from old martins ball diamond.I plan to go down when weather breaks and do some biking there.
