Elizabeth Patterson Gilfillan Blackburn, and her second husband, Benjamin Blackburn. Photo taken about 1821. They were married in Dec 1821. He died in 1876 in Ohio. They had no children.
Elizabeth Patterson Gilfillan Blackburn was eldest daughter of John and Mary Clendenin Patterson, and was born in Cumberland County, PA, in 1793 before the family became pioneer settlers in Lawrence County in 1801.
Her first husband was Dr. Alexander Gilfillan. He died in 1815, leaving Elizabeth with one living child, Mariah Alexander Gilfillan Vance.
Elizabeth Patterson Gilfillan Blackburn died 2 Feb 1880 in the home of her brother William Patterson (born 1815, North Beaver Twp).
