Wow!!! Your Calista looks very much like my Grandmother Stella and her oldest daughter Sarah. And strangely enough we have a Frederick Magee and a George Magee somewhere in many, many second and third cousins. Just way too many coincidences to be a mistake. we truly need to stay in touch.
I was trying to figure out how to enclose some pictures, but I didn't have time to figure it out, so I'll send them to your e-mail so you can all take a look at them.
Wow!!! More cousins, I knew you were out there somewhere!
Cheers & happy hunting!
Hey cous. I think Mom can tell you what Grandma Weltha's maiden name was. I know great grandma Bennett was Dahl. Man, I just can't remember her maiden name.
This picture is of my Grandmother, Uncle and Aunt. The names in the article do not ring a bell with me. I am sending it on to my mother. Strangely enough my Great Grandmother was Wealtha Magee, not sure what her maiden name was. Her daughter was Marion who we called Aunt Mamie.
Great Grandma's maiden name was Richards. She was Welth Richards Magee.
In researching my direct family lines, I have come across the name Bennett as a given or middle name many times. It seems to have originated with my 3rd great Grandmother, Mary A. Collins who married 3rd great Grandfather, Michael Wirts. They lived in Baltimore and Michael was guilder. They had three children as far as I know: George Wealtha Wirts; Samuel Bennett Wirts and Mary (or Mamie) L. Wirts. Many Wirts families lived in South Eastern PA and north Eastern parts of Maryland and most were farmers.
If either of these names strike a bell with your own information, I would love to hear from you. I have many, many photos of this family most of whom I cannot identify. I know Samuel Bennett's children as my Grandmother was his first born and also the family photographer.
Hope you are not disturbed by my contacting you, but Calista Bennett could very well be a relative. We also have several "Callys" which could be a derivative of Calista.
Any help you might be able to provide will be greatly appreciated. I can be reached at:email@example.com anytime.
Many, Many thanks. sue
