Michael Fenstermacher

Michael Fenstermaker was born in Lynn Township, Lehigh County, PA, in Mar 1803, the son of Philip and Anna Catherine Hartman Fenstermaker.

Michael married Anna Katherine Snyder on 23 Oct 1825. She was born in 1806. They became the parents of: John, Peter, Daniel, William, Aaron, Jonas, Maryette, Lyda, and Lucinda Fenstermaker Patterson.

Michael and Catherine said goodbye to four of their sons who joined the PA Volunteers and fought in the Civil War. Their son Jonas was killed in the Battle of the Wilderness on 5 May 1864. Peter, Aaron and Daniel returned home.

Michael Fenstermaker died 15 Nov 1881 in Ohio at 78 years of age. He is buried in Oak Grove Cemetery, Fairview Township, Mercer County.
