From the newspaper article:

Mr. and Mrs. Robert Skillen Day Celebrate Golden Wedding Anniversary. Many relatives and friends are present, numerous gifts are received by couple.

Mr. and Mrs. Robert Skillen Day of near Franklin, celebrated their golden wedding anniversary at the Bullion Harvest Home Grounds on July 17, 1926. Nearly 200 relatives and friends were present. They voiced many wishes for still more years of happiness for the couple.

Mrs. Day's name before her marriage was Martha Addie Cannon, and she was the daughter of Thomas and Harriett Cannon, of Carpenter's Corners, PA.

Mr. and Mrs. Day were married by a squire at Sandy Lake and were entertained at wedding dinner at the home of the bride's uncle, Cash Higbee, of that place. Rosie Day, a sister of the bridegroom and Andrew Cannon, an uncle of the bride, accompanied the couple on their wedding trip. Mr. and Mrs. Day lived in Mercer County for many years and were known and loved by many friends who remember them well. They moved to Venango County, near Franklin in 1900 and have lived in the same neighborhood since then. They were blessed with nine children, seven girls and two boys.
