Rev. Carl August Limberg
Carl August Limberg was born in Elberfeld, Germany, 24 Dec 1824. He came to America in 1848. He pastored at Evangelical Lutheran churches in Clearfield, Jefferson, Indiana, and Butler counties.
In Oct 1867, Rev. Limberg became the First Superintendent of the St. Paul's Orphans Home in Butler County. His wife, Bertha, was the first matron of the home. He held that position until 14 Jun 1871, when he returned to the pulpit.
Rev. Carl August Limberg died 13 Jun 1900.
