Perry Thomas Stoop, Sr.

Perry Thomas Stoop Sr., born in Pittsburgh's 18th ward in Nov 1886, by a local mid-wife, Mary J. Smythe. Perry, son of William J. & Mary Stoop, was a younger brother of John H. Stoop.
Perry started out working in the steel mills as a weighmaster and millhand, he rose to become superintendent of the slab mill department of Columbia Steel Mill (now Armco Steel Corporation) in Butler, PA.
He died in 1929 of a post operative infection after a tonsillectomy.
