Wedding portrait of William Woodruff Davis and Kathryn Yochum in 1902. William had a brother named Samuel Howe Davis, who did much, if not all, of the interior woodwork at Ford Chapel, Allegheny College.
William Woodruff Davis, b. Jul 16,1867. d. Oct 29, 1935 Married Oct 19, 1902 to Kathryn Elizabeth Yochum b. Jan 3, 1873. d. Oct 15, 1951 or 1952.
They became the parents of:
Wallace Leroy Davis, b. Nov 28, 1903. d. Nov 15, 1965. Married Oct 16, 1926. Divorced Apr 5, 1936. Two other marriages.
Kathryn Marie Davis, b. 1906, Still living, never married.
Ida Arline Davis Hauser, b. 1910, Still living, Married 1935.
The Davis family, who moved to Mead Township from Bucks County, PA in the 18th century, descended from William Davis and Mary Means, who migrated from Ireland to Bucks County, PA. The family ultimately settled in Meadville.

Davis, Philadelphia: American Historical-Genealogical Society, undated; and The Davis Family: History of Descendants of William Davis and Wife, Mary Means by Thomas Kirby Davis, publication data unknown.
