Brookville 207 Train Wreck and Railroad Men

From a collection of glass negatives taken by my grandfather Fred Ford who worked for the Pennsylvania Railroad.

Train Wreck - Brookville

Fantastic railroad photos and I do appreciate your work with the plate glass images and posting them. (I work with my great-grandma's plate glass images and understand how much work they can be to restore). As a descenant of many PA railroad workers and a western PA native with deep roots in Jefferson County, I thank you. These are a wonderful contribution to preserving history.

Those images were posted many moons ago. It is possible that there may be others in the collection but I would have to check.

My GFather took images of many things. Not sure of many of the things. Mostly Jefferson County, I think.

Just finishing up geneology for GFather's side. Very interesting. A cousin in Clearfield wrote two books on them. Still can't fully comprehend everything yet.

Thanks for the compliment.I did not know of the existence of the images until my uncle died and his wife gave them to me. I had to use a local film processer that had a B&W dark room to manually change the contrast. I tried my flatbed scanner but it did not work.

Now that film is no longer being produced, I will have to find somebody that does it for a hobby.

Thank you for posting the railroad photo---I'd love to see more of them! I'm starting a railroad research facility in the Erie area---I'll direct people here to see these, too. Nice job!!
