Seth Slater

Seth Slater was born 22 Jan 1854 to John and Rebecca Slater. He was a brother to Amanda Slater Judy. Seth was a farmer until 1883 when he established a general hardware store at Clark's Station. He conducted that business for three years when he engaged in the butcher business for one year.
Seth was one of the stockholders of the Stoneboro Glass Works and a member of the K&LofH of New Vernon and one of the A.O.U.W. of Clark's Mills.
He married Sarah M. Hazen in 1879. She was the daughter of John Hazen of Sheakleyville. They had three children.
