Rebecca Porter Noll

Rebecca Porter Noll

Rebecca Porter, daughter of Alexander Porter and Margaret Disel, born 5 May 1847 in "Helin" (Highland) Township.

She married Jacob Noll of Dauphin County on 8 Aug 1864. The marriage ceremony was performed by  Rev. James Montgomery, pastor of the Presbyterian Church.

Her husband Jacob served in the Clarion Union Guards 1861-1864, Co. H, 8th Reserves, aka 37th PVI.

The Porter family was in Paint Township in the 1850 Census, and were related to the following families in Clarion County: Stover, Culmer, Whitehill, Disel, and probably Shurm and Reed. They are, however, a bit of a mystery, and I would love to hear from any relatives!
