Unknown Woman and Children - maybe Mabel Beyer Hampson
Unknown woman and children related to the Hampson and Beyer families of Punxsutawney, Jefferson County, PA.
The woman may be Mabel Beyer Hampson, she was the daughter of Joseph M. and Jennie Eckman Beyer, who owned a well known drug store that was located in Punxsutawney from the late 1880s until the 1930s.
Mabel Beyer was married William Breed Hampson, son of Roger Hampson. They had three daughters, the two pictured here...if this is truly them, would be either Christine, Alice or Rebecca. Christine married either a Muir or a Miron. Alice married Edward Nicklas who was a doctor in Washington DC, and Rebecca married a Sawyer from Virginia.
Recognize the names? Related to this family, let me know. I have info on the Beyer family going back to 1758.
Submitted by Marianne Fisher Wazelle, great grand niece of William Breed Hampson
