Silas Samuel McKain was born in Butler, PA on June 20, 1907. He worked in a shipyard in Mobile, AL during World War II and married Albertine Branton, daughter of Rufus Branton, of Madisonville, LA on June 3, 1941. Silas later worked at Higgins Shipyard in New Orleans, LA. Silas McKain died Dec 28, 1961.
Rufus Branton was the father-in-law of Silas Samuel McKain.
Rufus Samuel "Sonny" McKain, son of Silas Samuel McKain, was born in New Orleans, LA.
