Bowen Family - Five Generations

Top left-hand corner, the young woman is Jeanette Hayes Moore. Jeanette was a Hayes and married back into the Moores. She is believed to have married a Michael Moore.

Standing next to Jeanette is Margaret Isabell Bowen Hayes. "Aunt Belle" was a sister to Fred Bowen. She was born October 22, 1887 in Madera, Clearfield County, PA, the daughter of James and Annie Moore Bowen. She married Thomas R. Hayes. She passed away August 6, 1972 in the Divine Providence Hospital in Williamsport, Lycoming County, PA, and was buried in Montoursville Cemetery.

Sitting on the lower right, just below Margaret is Annie Moore Bowen, mother of Fred Bowen and Margaret Isabell Bowen Hays.

Submitted by Judy E. Olson Metzger, great granddaughter of Annie Moore Bowen

The older lady in the photo holding the baby is unknown. She might be Annie Moore Bowen's mother.

The baby in the picture is Jeanette Hayes Moore's child.

Do you know more about this family? Do you recognize the unknown older woman in the photo? Please let me know.

Bowen Family Photos

My father is a Bowen from Scranton, Pa. His Father was a Chauffer for the President of the Coal Mines. I do not know the
women in your photo but I do know those fingers. They are my fathers and mine and my sons and my grandchildren. Our fingers look just like hers. I think my grandfathers name was George Henry Bowen married to Marion Bates. They had four sons Goerge,
Henry, David and I can't remember the other. I have never met any
of this side of my family.
