Llewellyn Heman Owens and Rachel Baker Owens

Llewellyn Heman Owens, father of Ralph Llewellyn Owens, was born in Warren on 24 Jul 1856, the eldest son of Chandler Heman Owens and Marcia Loucks Owens. Llewellyn was killed on New Years Day 1918, when he was struck by a Pennsylvania Railroad train on the section of track he was responsible for maintaining. Llewellyn's wife, Rachel Baker Owens, was born in Warren Jan 1863, and died in 1937. She became nearly blind later in life, which is why she is looking away in the photo. The photo was taken in North Warren in 1913.
