Gottlieb Pfister was born 2 Nov 1826 in Bittelbronn Germany. His parents were Blasius and Maria Anna Pfister. He immigrated to America in 1853 with his parents who settled in Carrolltown, Cambria County. Gottlieb married Christena Lambour in Carrolltown April 21, 1861. They purchased land between Nicktown and Spangler where he took up farming.
Gottlieb died 12 Nov 1883 on his farm near Nicktown. He is buried in Nicktown.
