Stanley H. Smith, Sugar Grove, Warren County, PA, lost at sea 13 Sept 1917 during World War I. Enlisted from the University of Kentucky at the first call for volunteers, 12 Apr 1917. Assigned to the USS Wilkes. Lost at sea on duty in foreign waters.
