Ernest Watt

Ernest Watt, Co. I, 112th Regiment, was reported killed in action in Jul 1918, during World War I. Later he was carried on the official casualty list as a German Prisoner. Frank Auchiutto, who returned home to this country in Nov 1918, said he climbed over Watt's body Jul 6, after their platoon had stormed enemy machine gun nests. Watt was later heard from as a prisoner at Camp Rastatt, Germany. So far as known, he is the only Warren man who was taken prisoner during the war.
