church in Mckeesport pa?

on the back it says: This is a photo of our new church.
The women who has written is Ellen Carlson and she was born in Mckeesport in late 1800. Her father was a cousin of my grandfather in Sweden. I wondered if anyone know what church this is and were it is?
Thank you!

Identifying church

That church looks like the one my grandmother attended for many years. It is on Jenny Lind Street at the corner of Evans. It was Tabor Lutheran Church originally, I believe. Several years ago, the Lutherans sold that church to an African American Church. I am not sure of the denomination. The Lutherans merged two or three churches together to form Faith Lutheran located in White Oak, PA. They may have more history records on the old church. I am pretty sure it is still standing. At least it was in 2006 when grandma passed. I hope this helps.

Tabor Lutheran Church

It is Tabor Lutheran Church....I was in Mckeesport june 2012 and see it. Thank you for your replay:-)
I have spoken to Annette James, assistent of the Mayor and she was showing me the church.

I happened on your post by

I happened on your post by accident. The photo of Tabor Church brought many memories and I thank you. My family were founding members of Tabor and lived a couple of blocks from there on Federal Street. I was baptized in that church in August of 1948 and spent many happy Sundays there. My great-aunts Bertha, Anna, and Matilda Larson along with their parents and my Grandfather Elmer Fredolf Larson were members from the time the church was built.

Thank you again for reminding me of happy times on Swede Hill!!

I was reading Spurgeon Morning Devotional today and he mentioned being elevated to Tabor.

I googled our Church and arrived at your post.

What fond memories of Tabor glisten upon the memory of our childhood,
Treasured Jewels that weave a Tapestry of our Souls.

Children's Choir, VBS, Confirmation and so much more.
Thanks for remembrance of the Glimmer Hope that is ours through Christ our Lord.

Peace be with you.
