Altenburger Family
Left to right, Eugene Altenburger, Adele "Oma" Dittmar Altenburger, Mildred Altenburger and Conrad "Opa" Altenburger.
Opa was a well know artist in the city of Pittsburgh at the turn of the 20th century. Several of his painting were featured at exhibitions at the Carnagie Museum and won prizes. When he died he was the art director for the Times-Gazette.
Oma came from a well to do family in Geisa, Germany. Her family owned the lumber mill and yard there.
