Samuel B. Wilson was born May 1842 in Cool Spring township, Mercer Co., PA, and died May 10, 1910, in Mt. Washington, Bullitt Co., KY. He was the son of William and Eleanor Wilson who were also residents of Mercer county.

Samuel's occupations: farmer, brick and stone mason, plasterer and carpenter. He was a good musician but mostly played the violin.
