Absolum McClain, born in 1843 and died April 10, 1887 in Midway, and is buried at Center Cemetery in Midway, Pa.
He married Sarah Susan Gamble, born Jan 1,1845, died Feb 13, 1899, also buried in Center Cemetery in Midway, Pa. She was the daughter of William and Elizabeth McElhaney Gamble.
Sarah and Absolum became the parents of six children.
