Adam Schafer/Shaffer (1825–1863) Died in the Field Hospital in TN. Served in Co. B, 78th Regiment PA Volunteers in Civil War son of Samuel Schafer/Shaffer, Sr. & Rosina (Fuchs) Fox.
He was married to Polly Haring/Herring (1826–1900). She spent her widowed life in North Freedom, PA. She was a daughter George Haring. She is buried in the Temple Reformed Cemetery in North Freedom, PA.
