Elic Scott Carroll

Elic Scott Carroll was born 24 Oct 1864 to Craft Charles Carroll (born 1834) and Tirzah Jane Carroll (born 1830). Charles was the son of William and Barbara Carroll.

Elic Carroll graduated from Baltimore Academy of Dental Surgery on 6 Mar 1884. The Baltimore Academy is considered the first dental school in the world. It merged with the University of Maryland in 1923 and is no longer in existence.  

Elic Scott Carroll died in 1940.

The forty-fourth annual commencement of the Baltimore College of Dental Surgery was held at the Academy of Music, Baltimore, Md., on Thursday, March 6, 1884, at 1:30 o'clock p.m.
The annual oration was delivered by Pembroke Lea Thom, Esq., and the valedictory address was by William H. Ross, D.D.S.
The number of matricutes for the session was eighty-eight.
The degree of D.D.S. was conferred on the following graduates by Professor R. B. Winder, dean of the faculty.
