Beulah Williams Coulter and Josiah Coulter

Josiah Coulter was born 25 Nov 1839 in Salem Township, Mercer County, PA. He served as a private in Company I, 59th Regiment, 2nd PA Cavalry during the Civil War. He mustered out as a sergeant 13 July 1865 after being held as a prisoner of war at Andersonville for five months.

He died 13 May 1913 in Greenwood Township, Crawford County, PA and is buried in Porters Corners Cemetery with his wife, Beulah Williams Coulter.
