Lula and Anna Whitehead 1898

Lula and Anna Whitehead 1898

Sisters Lula and Anna Whitehead of Meadville taken in 1898 at the Ellsworth Ground Floor Studio located on Market St. in Meadville. Most pictures taken around the turn of the century were taken in studios because owning a camera was too costly.

At the time of this picture, Lula was 7 and Anna was 6. Lula lived her whole life in Crawford County and in later years was known as a good story teller. Lula was the grandmother of Darla Wood-Cunningham.
