Letitia Wilkins (Hunt) Joy bore the name of her grandmother Letitia Wilkins. She was born in 1833 in Canonsburg, Washington Co PA, daugh of Joseph and Elizabeth (Hagerty) Hunt. In 1859 she married Frederick Augustus Joy from VT. The couple, who moved to Johnstown, Cambria Co PA, had 4 children: Henry, Joseph, Franklin, and Minnie. Letty died 13 May 1897 in Stoney Creek, Cambria Co PA.

Dating and Identification
Are you sure about the identification? I have an interest in historical clothing, and her clothing and hair here seem to be more from the late 19th century than the middle of the century. (My apologies if I sound rude; I just couldn't help noticing this.)
