Old Sober Family Farm, located near Leechburg, PA.
George B. Sober bought this farm 1798.
George Sober and his family were early settlers to the Westmoreland Co. area. George immigrated with his wife and four children by covered wagon from the Easton/Plainfield/Allentown area to the Greensburg PA, before moving to this farm.
This 325+ acre farm has always been in ownership of the Sober family, being passed from generation to generation. John Copeland Sober, the great great great grandson of George, owns this and still farms and raises cattle there today.
