Isaiah Kiffer

Isaiah Kiffer, son of Frederick and Eliza Ann Knisley Kiffer. Isaiah was born 13 Apr 1859, and died 22 Apr 1935. He married on 21 July 1881 Margaret Anna Bean, daughter of William H. Bean and Catherine A. Shunk. They had eleven children:

*Frances Priscilla Kiffer (1879-1963), married in 1903 to Nicholas Nathaniel McManigle (1871-1964), son of Robert and Margaret Steele McManigle.

*E(1882-1959), married first in 1910 to Elvira Patterson, daughter of Henry and Levilla Tobey Patterson; married second in 1930 to Deborah Estella Callen Kifer, daughter of William and Dee Wallace Callen. Deborah Callen was married three times -- first to Wallace Mealy, second to Orrin Kifer, and third to Elvia David Kiffer.

*Gertrude Rachel Kiffer (born 17 Nov 1884), married in 1903 to Bert Albaugh (1881-1965), son of John and Melinda Squires Albaugh.

*John Earl Kiffer (1886-1982), married in 1916 to Dorothy Eunice Shunk (1889-1982), daughter of John Henry and Urilda Jay Berlin Shunk.

*Norris Burton Kiffer (1889-1959), married in 1916 to Dora Geneva Thornton (1898-1976), daughter of John and Florence Miller Thornton. After his death, Dora married Gilford Charles Gleason in 1967.

*Freddie Kiffer (born 1891), died in infancy.

*Ellen Elizabeth Kiffer (1892-1978). She never married.

*Mable Hilda Kiffer (1895-1986), married first in 1922 to Jerry Edward Osgood, son of Warren and Lydia Hartman Osgood; married second in 1926 to Joseph Edgar Albaugh, son of John and Melinda Squires Albaugh.

*Rev. Dewey Vincent Kiffer (1898-1985), married in 1924 to Coral Amanda MacMillen (1905-1978), daughter of Robert and Blanche Hunter MacMillen.

*Alfred Kiffer (born 1900), died young.

*Calvin Eugene Kiffer (1903-1986), married in 1927 to Ruth Viola Deshner (1910-1967), daughter of Charles and Lena Mae Mealy Deshner.

Isaiah and Margaret Bean Kiffer are buried in Kiffer Hill Cemetery, Hickory Township.
