Virginia Metheny Burd

Virginia Metheny Burd, born Nov 1,1862 in West Virginia, she passed away July 6,1893 and is buried in the Burd Family Cemetery.
She married Henry Burd and became the mother of five children. Four of the children married and raised large families in Fayette County.
Being identified as full blooded Cherokee Indian, Virginia was one of two Metheny women to marry into the Bird Family. Mary Metheny married Samuel Bird, a brother of Henry Burd.
