Rev. Samuel Mc. Anderson was born Dec 18, 1823, in Venango County, where he later became a member of the Scrubgrass Presbyterian Church. He graduated from Washington college in 1846 and Western Theological Seminary in 1851. He was the pastor at Presbyterian Churches at Fredericksburg, OH, Davenport, IA, Hamilton, OH, and Eldorado, KS.
