Eva and Armitta were the daughters of Laban and Miranda Shontz Smith.
Eva was born about 1868 in Blooming Valley, Crawford Co., PA. She married Oron Chase, and had the following children to him: Harry D., Donald W., May, Dorothy and Joseph A. Chase.
Armitta "Mittie" Smith was born between 1870 and 1874 in Blooming Valley, Crawford Co., PA. She married John Proud.
