John C. Diehl with Virginia Mae

John Casper Diehl was a Principal of Erie High School in Erie, PA, in 1916.

From the June 1916 Spokesman - -

John Casper Diehl

A gentleman, beloved and honored, he;
A friend to all who rind in Learning's train
Whether they follow fast or all in vain;
Justly impartial, kind, and helping earnestly.

Sincerely eager to do all he can.
Successful to make school, and girl, and boy,
No more by urging work than aiding joy,
And, best of all, by being what he is - - a man.
