Hello Emile Clede,
I'm searching out info on an Obadiah Benge that was married to an Etta Asbil (his 2nd wife) They were my G-grandparents. Do you have any info and the extra time it takes to share info with me.?

Sylvia Benge
Hello, Thelma:
My wife's maternal grandmother was Rose Ermine Benge. Her Benge ancestors that I have located, so far, are from TX, TN, VA, NC, SC, and there are a couple who were born in Indian Territory. A lot of the Benge family is connected to the Cherokee Nation, so the odds are very high that your Benge grandmother was from Oklahoma.
I have no 'Sylvia' in my wife's Benge line, so far, but I did find a reference to a Sylvia Benge, daughter of James and Elizabeth (Daughterty) Benge and she may have married a man named Johnson. I have no dates or locations on her and did not research further since I found not connection to my wife's line. This little bit of information may be of assistance to you, I hope.
Good hunting;
Emile Clede
