Dating

From the style of the clothing and the physical characteristics of the photo, this would be from the 1870s. I can't tell from this picture if she has a dropped waist or not. If the waist is not dropped, it is probably before 1877-78, since that is when dropped waists came into fashion. "Camera Clues" by Joe Nickell has a chapter on dating photos by their physical characteristics.

have recently gotten some old family pictures, several of them were taken at Papineau in Bethany, no dates on them. My great grandparents wedding photo was taken there, they were married in 1900.
