Old photo of Yaqui Indian Scouts and Fighters. Yaqui Indians who fought in the wars with Pancho Villa ended up in the Mexican State of Chihuahua. Many entered into Texas to start a new life away from the executions in Mexico.

A Yaqui Indian girl in Presidio Texas grand-daughter to a Yaqui Chief. She had extensive knowledge of traditional herbal healing, common knowledge among Mountain Yaqui Indians who came to texas in 1870, also known as the Texas Band of Yaqui Indians.
