Kilbourne Cooperage, Sandusky, OH, was damaged by a tornado in 1924.

My great grandfather, John Ritzenthaler worked at Kilbourne Cooperage with his father and brothers. He took it as a "sign from God" to retire after the tornado.

Ruth Ritzenthaler, known as "Little Ruthie"died in Sandusky, Ohio in 1905 due to whooping cough. Ruthie was only 2 years old. She was a sister to my great-grandmother, Madeline Ritzenthaler Freitas.
