When he was one year old his parents moved to Madison, Indiana. The early part of Mr. Fehr's boyhood was spent in Indiana. At the age of 17 he decided to seek his fortune elsewhere and in 1904 came to Illinois where he as since lived. After coming to Illinois, Mr. Fehr took up farming and remained in this occupation until the year 1923. He decided however to seek his fortune in other lines of endeaver and took up work as a paper hanger and painter which he still follows as a profession. In 1926 Mr. Fehr was elected to be Janitor of Lowpoint Township High school which position he still holds.
