 <title>Lee Thunhorst: U.S. Navy WW11</title>

 <description>&lt;p&gt;Litchfield, Illinois, January 3-Charles Thunhorst has received ward from teh navy department that his son, Lee Thunhorst, 18, was killed in action in the Pacific war zone.&lt;br /&gt;
Thunhorst, former Illinoise State Register carrier was the first Litchfield casuality listed since the outbreak of the war. A gunner second class, he enlisted in the navy a year ago and began his duties aboard ship last summer.&lt;br /&gt;
He was born in Montgomery county and educated in Litchfield schools. Besides his father, he is survived by his mother, Mrs. Ruth Thunhorst of the Hasel Dell cafe by pass 66, Springfield,, two sisters, Mrs Mary Etta Kellenberger or Morrisonville, and Miss Wilma Thunhrst, Springfield, and one brother Samuel of Springfield, Illinois.&lt;/p&gt;
