Gola Mae Merrifield Parsons, born Dec 13 1888 in 10 Mile Fork, Smithfield, Wetzel County, West Virginia, and died July 13 1985 Greene County, Greeneville, Tennessee, and buried in Hardesty I.O.O.F Cemetery Wyatt, Harrison County, West Virginia.

She married at her home on Harter Hill, April 8 1914 to Ercel Dean Parsons.
