Listed as a New School Building in 1939. "The Homeville Junior High School is a modern, fire-proof building containing seven regular and five special classrooms. The special rooms include a library and rooms for art, science, home economics, and industrial arts. There are also an auditorium and a gymnasium. A public address system, indirect lighting, modern offices, a health room, teachers' room, modern classroom seating and equipment, and a thermostatically controlled, univent heating system are features of this building. The approximated cost was $299,610.00, of which $131,180.00* was a P. W. A. [Public Works Administration] grant *anticipated grant, final credit not made."

"The Emerson Elementary School, which is a study n colonial architecture, contains eight regular classrooms, a library and art room, a principal's office, a book storage room, a health room, a teacher's room, recreation room, an auditorium, and a large lunch room. A modern public address system, indirect lighting, colonial design furniture, a thermostatically controlled univent heating system, a standard clock and bell system, a modern sound projector, and the stage equipment are some of the noteworthy features of this building. The cost was approximately $154,390.00, of which $67,925.00* was a P. W. A. [Public Works Administration] Grant. *Anticipated grant, final credit not made."

Listed as a New School Building in 1939. "The current school year witnessed the opening of a new Junior High School in Patton Township. The building is of red brick and contains six classrooms in addition to a home economics room, an industrial arts shop, a science laboratory, a library, a gymnasium, an auditorium, shower and locker room, a health room, and an office. This construction made possible the closing of a one-room school and a four-room portable building as well as the relief of crowded conditions which existed in all of the elementary schools. The Public Works Administration aided with the financing of the building, which cost approximately $130,000.00
