Samuel Rishel, b. August 2, 1829 d. April 2, 1909 in Gibbon Glade, PA. He was recruited into the Union Army.

He married Catherine Thomas on June 28, 1855. Both are buried in the Salem-Thomas Cemetery, Brandonville WV.

Jacob and Mary Thomas are buried in the Salem-Thomas Cemetery, Brandonville, WV.

Charles and other members of his family were born in W.Va. but lived back and forth across the PA. line in Fayette County. PA. or Preston County, WV.

Catherine Thomas Rishel, wife of Samuel Rishel. She was born July 24, 1833 and died April 28, 1909 in Gibbon Glade, PA. They were married June 28, 1855. Both are buried in the Salem-Thomas Cemetery, Brandonville WV.

They purchased the original tract of Land for Rishel Farms, Gibbon Glade, PA in 1874. Original home-place is still standing.
