Foster James Heacock was principal of the Butler Business College from around 1894 until May 1897.

He was born in McLean Co., Illinois on Sept. 22, 1869 and died in Dayton, Ohio on May 3, 1939. He was a Quaker by birth and faith and also an agriculturist, historian, and teacher.

Her son, Fred Keyes was born in 1914 and died in 1974.

The Keys family was from Butler, PA.

John C. Albert and Estella Fair lived in the Island area in the city of Butler. Estella Fair's family is from the area around Whitestown and the White Oak Springs Church.

John C. Albert is the son of Elmer Albert from Centre Township.

St. Paul's Orphan's Home, Butler, PA 1880

St. Paul's Orphan's Home was part of the Soldiers' Orphans Home System.

According to the Annual Report of the Superintendent of Soldiers' Orphans of Pennsylvania for the Year 1880, to reach St. Paul's Orphan's Home travel "Via West Pennsylvania road or Allegheny Valley railroad to Freeport; thence to Butler by Butler Branch railroad."

The home was later relocated to Greenville, Mercer County, PA

Ruth Bartlett was from Oil City, PA. She graduated from Clarion State Normal School (later called Clarion State Teachers College) in 1923. She later married Ralph Horner and lived on Main Street in Butler, PA.

Charlotte Hassler Prugh

Charlotte Hassler Prugh was the wife of Rev. P. C. Prugh, an pastor of the Reformed Church and Superintendent of the St. Paul's Orphans Home from 1882-1903.

Mrs. Prugh was the matron of the home from 1882, until her death in 1898.

Rev. P. C. Prugh

Rev. P C. Prugh was born on a farm in Montgomery Co., OH, near the city of Dayton, 13 Sept 1822. He graduated from Marshall College and the Eastern Theological Seminary at Mercersburg.

He married Charlotte Hassler of Mercersburg in 1852. They were the parents of eleven children, seven of the children reached adulthood, including: Rev. John H. Prugh, D.D., Etta Kathleen Prugh, and Mary A., wife of Rev. D. N. Harnish, pastor for many years of St. Paul's Reformed Church in Butler.

Rev. Prugh was the pastor at the Reformed Church at Xenia, OH for 22 years. He also pastored churches in Cincinnati and Germantown, OH.

Rev. P. C. Prugh was the Superintendent of the St. Paul's Orphans Home in Butler County, PA from 1882-1903.
