I purchased this photo at a Flea Market in North Little Rock, Arkansas. On the back it states the location as Nettleton, Arkansas which is in Craighead County and is now part of Jonesboro.

"I think Warren Noble used to own the farm Walter Claypoole owns in 1971".

The handwriting is Wilda Elizabeth Somerville Baker's (1910-1992). She lived her entire life in Worthington, PA. Armstrong, County.

It is unsure whether the man in the picture is Warren Noble or Walter Claypoole.

William Ratcliffe of Waynesburg, Greene County, Pa. Born June 9, 1852, died Aug 23, 1922.

He was the first registered veterinarian in Greene County. Registered for practice April 26, 1890. This photo was on all of his medicine bottles he used in his practice.

A Captain at the time, he served as an aide to Gen. Oliver O. Howard. He was later promoted to Brigadier General.

Brig. Gen. Howard was born in 1838 in Leeds, Maine.
